A $125 deposit is required at least 24 hours before your house call appointment. Any remaining balance due at the time services are provided. We do not offer payment plans or invoicing. If we are unable to locate your cat or safely perform an examination during your house call, we will discuss the available options and reschedule the visit. A new house call fee ($125) will apply for the return appointment. To help your appointment go as smoothly as possible, we recommend placing your cat in a bathroom or other small room without hiding places approximately 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment. For cats that are especially nervous or prone to hiding, pre-appointment stress-reducing medication may also be helpful. If you think your cat would benefit, please contact us before your appointment so we can discuss the best option.
About 15 minutes before the visit, we will text you and ask that you confine your cat to a small area without many hiding places (such as a bathroom). This helps prevent your cat from hiding when we arrive and allows the visit to begin smoothly. For some parts of the examination or procedures, we may use a countertop or table surface. We will protect the area and ensure your cat remains comfortable throughout the visit. If possible, please have any previous medical records or medications available to review.
House calls allow your cat to be seen in the comfort of their own home, which often makes the experience calmer for both cats and their owners. Because the visit takes place in your home rather than a busy clinic, we are able to focus fully on you and your cat.
During the visit, we will review your cat’s medical history, discuss any concerns, and perform a thorough examination. We will also perform any necessary diagnostics and treatments, make recommendations for your cat’s care, and answer any questions you may have.
We require at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your house call appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in forfeiture of your house call deposit. To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please text us at 215-458-2182 or email us at info@phillycatvet.com.
